Dr. Fuster suggests that a solution lies in the development of a Polypill one pill that combines the benefits of all three drugs in one pill and that costs as little as $1 a month. The Polypill also addresses another important health issue compliance. Only a minority of patients continue to take all three medications as prescribed after 3 years. The Polypill simplifies drug maintenance by combining three medications into one pill.
