Cervical cancer is unfortunately a common condition in women. It was once the most common cancer in the United States. Effective screening techniques that have steadily improved in the previous four decades have significantly reduced the death rates due to cervical cancer. Cervical cancer rehabilitation depends on how effective its treatment was and whether the condition has regressed, persisted or progressed to a clinical condition. Cervical cancer rehabilitation helps patients with social, emotional and physical complications that may arise as a result of surgery. It is conducted either on an outpatient or inpatient basis. Cervical cancer rehabilitation is facilitated by a team of skilled professionals, that may include physical therapists, occupational therapists, recreational therapists, oncologists, specialty and internist physicians, social workers, vocational counselors and case managers.

Uterine cancer affects the uterus the primary female reproductive organ, which fosters a baby during pregnancy. The uterus is designed to withstand hormonal changes, such as those that occur during the menstrual cycles, pregnancy and menopause. These various stages adversely affect uterine health in some cases, causing the cells of its lining (endometrial cells) to malfunction eventually manifesting in the form of uterine cancer, which affects thousands of women annually in the United States. The American Cancer Society suggests that nearly 40,000 new cases and more than 6,000 are attributed to uterine cancer.
