The body is patted with a layer of fat which is attached to the under laying muscles by a thin mash work of loose connective tissue. This encores the skin to the muscle below. In some women this mash of connective tissue becomes abnormally stretched, weakened or inflexible pushing up the skin shown here and allowing unsightly little patches of fat to appear. The reasons for these conditions are; the hereditary factor, excessive estrogen production, faulty removal of body toxins, aging and poor circulation. There are innumerable creams on the market which have no proven value.

Now surgeons in Costa Rica are attempting a liposuction type procedure that breaks the fiber’s bridges that cause the dimpling and attempt to re-inject the fat to restore a more even type appearance. Most likely an even tan which makes cellulite less invisible is the most effective and static cure.
