Expert Commentary: Dr. Russ L'HommeDieu, DPT

Proposing that we can get all of Vitamin D needs met through supplements and that we don%u2019t necessarily have to get our Vitamin D needs met through gratuitous exposure to the sun. That is important because so many people are dying of melanoma. It is one of the most insidious forms of cancer and probably one of the most rapidly growing forms of cancer. It is a shame that people think that they need to expose themselves to the sun to simply get this vital vitamin.

What was also interesting in the article was that they addressed the myths about sun screens.  They talk about degrees of exposure to Ultra Violet light. I thought it was interesting that they talked about the fact we should be wearing at least SPF 30.
