I always like to keep my patients up to date on the latest products and options they have. A new cosmetic injectable available now is DysportŪ. In April of 2009 DysportŪ was FDA approved for cosmetic use. Dysport has been used in Europe as cosmetic injection since 2001. DysportŪ is a wrinkle-smoother and muscle relaxer that can be used for dynamic wrinkles such as frown lines, crow%u2019s feet, and the furrow lines of the forehead. DysportŪ acts quickly %u2013 within 3 days and can last up to 4 months or more. DysportŪ is a Botulinum-A enzyme which is comparable Botox Cosmetic. It only takes about 5 minutes to place the injections and has very minimal recovery time.
