Collectively, the orthopedic staff has performed more than 12,000 surgical procedures at Lawrence.

Orthopedic specialists at Lawrence Hospital Center treat problems related to the muscles, bones or joints. Most orthopedic conditions result from disease or injury to bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, and nerves. The severity of these conditions can vary and range from joint pain, sports injuries, osteoporosis, and foot and ankle problems. Depending on the condition, our orthopedic specialists will assess and treat the problem and determine if surgery is needed.

Our doctors perform reconstructive, hand, back and pediatric surgeries, along with a variety of ambulatory and in-patient procedures. In the event of an emergency, our experienced staff of board-certified Emergency Department physicians can assess and treat any injury and refer patients who need additional care.

Rehabilitative services are also available at Lawrence Hospital Center and at our offsite facilities located in Eastchester (opening soon) and Scarsdale. Administered in a relaxing and supportive environment, our rehabilitation services are provided by highly trained physical therapists licensed in New York State—most of whom have earned postgraduate degrees. Whether you have sustained an injury from sports or had a joint replacement, our therapists can get you moving again.

Lawrence Home Care, our outpatient Nursing and Rehabilitative service, provides care upon discharge. This service adds an additional level of attention by maintaining direct contact with surgical and medical staff once a patient returns home.
