About Aspire

Aspire is one of the largest human service non-profits in west suburban Chicago.  Serving more than 1000 children, adults and their families each year, our focus is to help the developmentally disabled achieve their highest potential and discover independence. THe most important mission at Aspire is to provide lifelong support for people with developmental disabilities and their families.

Having started in 1960 with only ten families of developmental disabled children meeting in the basement of a church in Hillside, Illinois to discuss their challenges and common experiences, Aspire has grown into a program that helps bring out the unique talents and abilities of the children and adults they care for.  They also partner with a wide variety of social, religious and educational groups to coordinate volunteer efforts and community programs.  You can become a part of the volunteer effort by clicking the button at the top of the page and finding out more about opportunities to help out.
