Dr. Carl Noback, MD

Dr. Carl Noback, MD is head physician and Anesthesiologist for the MUA Pain Management Center of Orlando. He has over 30 years experience in the pain management field. He is known by many of his peers to be one of the leading experts in pain management.

Dr Noback is the President of the Anesthesia Company of America, a Consultant to Forensic Associates and John E. Baker, PhD., P.E. Dr. Noback has been the Editorial Board Member in the "Pain Physician Journal". He has also served as the Original Anesthesiologist for ABC's "Extreme Makeover" and as a Head Ring Physician/ Medical Director for the Muay Thai International Association.

In the past, Dr. Noback was a consultant and Instructor of Anesthesiology at the Mayo Clinic's Department of Anesthesiology and an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at the Emory University Clinic's Department of Anesthesiology. He was a Managing Partner at Forensic Associates, LLC, an Anesthesiology Residency Program Director at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center/UCLA School of Medicine and worked in Pain Management & Consulting at the Noback Medical Group.
Dr. Noback was also a Vice Chief for the Department of Anesthesiology at Valley Hospital in Las Vegas, NV. For a number of years in the 1980's, he served as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University Of Nevada School Of Medicine.

His private practice experience includes specializing in Anesthesiology and Pain Management in Ocala, FL and Boca Raton, FL, and also a private practice in Las Vegas, NV.

Dr. Noback graduated from Yale University as a Yale National Scholar, and went onto the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine for Medical School. There, he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He completed an Internship in Internal Medicine at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri and a Residency in Anesthesiology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

He has been Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and the American Academy of Pain Management. He has medical licenses in California, Florida and Nevada.

For his past committees and appointments, he served on the Adjunct Member Committee on the Anesthesia Care Team for the American Society of Anesthesiologists. Dr. Noback was also a part of the Editorial Advisory Board for the American Journal of Pain Management, on the Scientific Advisory Panel for Myelotec, Inc., and on the Ethics Committee for the North American Spine Society. Dr. Noback has worked on nine hospital committees at H-UCLA and eight Department Committees at H-UCLA.

Dr. Noback has been a member of certain medical and scientific organizations, such as the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the Nevada Society of Anesthesiologists, the California Society of Anesthesiologists and the Peripheral Neuropathy Institute.
Dr. Noback's research interests include Endoscopic Spinal Surgery, Minimally Invasive Intervertebral Disc Surgery and Repair, Safety of lengthy Outpatient Surgical Procedures, techniques of Neurolysis, Information Technology applied to Anesthesiology and Pain Management and Injury Causation.

Dr. Noback has authored dozens of publications and worked in numerous presentations. He has worked as a visiting professor for the Department of Anesthesia at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, the University of Alabama-Birmingham and the University of Missouri-Kansas City. As a visiting professor, Dr. Noback has served in the Department of Anesthesiology at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center in Chicago, IL.
