Educated at Princeton, Dr. Bonanni went on to receive his M.D. degree from UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School and completed eye surgery residency training at Robert Wood Johnson-University Hospital Cooper.
Having done Ph.D. work in biophysics and physiology prior to completing his medical degree, Dr. Bonanni is uniquely qualified to understand, evaluate and employ the constantly emerging new laser technologies for vision correction. He has taught physiology at New York University and did his refractive fellowship work at the state-of-the-art Duke University Eye Center.
While at Duke, Dr. Bonanni discovered a passion for working with cutting-edge technology to offer the maximum benefits in vision repair and enhancement, a tradition he continues to explore and expand upon in private practice. In addition, he teaches, lectures, and writes on corneal disease and refractive surgery. Many of the leading refractive surgeons have either been taught and/or have had their vision corrected by Dr. Bonnani. He has been the director of four major refractive centers in the country and has devoted himself to vision correction for over ten years.
