Bariatric surgery, a form of obesity surgery, has become a major weapon in the fight against morbid obesity. Bariatric surgery specialist, Dr. Elliot Goodman is an Assistant Professor of Surgery Albert Einstein College of Medicine and a Board Certified general surgeon. Dr. Goodman and his staff located in the heart of Manhattan, NYC treat each patient with dignity, respect and most important as an individual. Because no two people are the same the Doctor designs a unique treatment regimen for each patient that reflects their individual goals and needs.


Dr. Goodman joined the medical staff of Beth Israel Medical Center to expand its Bariatric surgery program in January 2004. Prior to moving to Beth Israel, Dr Goodman was on the staff of Montefiore Medical Center and the faculty of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, NY for over four years. Before this, he was on the faculty of the New Jersey Medical School and was the co-director of the University Institute for the Surgery of Morbid Obesity in Newark, NJ.
