Murray, Jr., M.D. is a board certified by the America Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He has served as an orthopaedic sports medicine consultant for the Portland Pirates AHL Hockey Club, the Maine Medical Center Sports Medicine Fellowship Program and the University of Southern Maine Athletic Department. In his practice in Portland, Maine he offers sports medicine and orthopaedic procedures. 

Dr. Murray graduated from Springfield College in Massachusetts with bachelor's and master's degrees in physical therapy. After working briefly as a sports physical therapist, he graduated from the University of Connecticut's School of Medicine. Dr. Murray completed his orthopaedic surgical residency at UCONN and then completed a one-year sports medicine and arthroscopy fellowship at the Southern California Orthopaedic Institute. Dr. Murray has published and lectured internationally on a variety of shoulder and knee topics. He is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine. He has also served as the Medical Director and the Interim Managing Partner at OA Centers for Orthopaedics. Currently Dr. Murray is a member of the Board of Councilors for the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.
