Prostate cancer creates incredibly scary effects on your health and your life but there are places that you can turn to for help.  At the Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) for more than three decades our ongoing mission has been to make effective cancer treatment available in as many parts of this country as possible including the area of Chicago, Illinois. 

At CTCA we use many different highly advanced radiation treatment options for prostate cancer.  These treatments include High Dose Rate (HDR) Brachy therapy which lets radiation reach tumors and cancerous tissue directly while preventing healthy tissue from being irradiated.  We also provide our patients with Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) which uses a machine that analyzes the patient’s illness and determines the exact application of radiation that is best for their needs.  IMRT allows doctors to bring more radiation to the cancerous tissue while protecting more of the undamaged tissue.  Our centers also provide Fractionated Dose Chemotherapy for our patients.  Fractionated Dose Chemotherapy entails using a potent dose of drugs that is broken down into lower doses and applied over a longer time so that the cancer spends more time exposed to the drugs.
