As with most serious surgical procedures, complications from conventional aortic surgery, either through replacement of the aorta or transplant, are possible. However, Dr. Stewart offers a surgical procedure, which has been shown to avoid the typical results of valve or aortic replacement surgery, including: requiring repeat surgery every ten or taking anticoagulants over a long period of time.
