Scoliosis affects both children and adults and is caused by the spine becoming irregularly curved. The spine adopts an S or C shape, which results in the body's muscles trying to conform to this shape. As the muscles conform, they cause unnatural pressure on the nerves in the spine creating irritable pain and sometimes deformity in the body. Some symptoms of scoliosis include uneven hip or shoulder levels and asymmetrical muscles on either side of the body.
The first step in Dr. Sloves advanced treatment is locating and identifying the subluxations in the patient's spine. Subluxations are points where the spinal vertebrae have become misaligned. These misalignments are what lead to problems and pain in the body. After proper observation, Dr. Sloves, will then develop an individual treatment plan that aims to correct these subluxations using advanced techniques and care.
