She completed her advanced surgical training at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, the National Institutes of Health, and Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC. She was the President of the American Society of Breast Surgeons. Before coming to the Lawrence Hospital team, she led breast care programs at the University of Michigan Medical Center and William Beaumont Hospital in Michigan.
