Dr. Bystryn stands head-and-shoulders above the majority because he is dedicated to excellence and has the resume to show for it. He has been in practice for 40-plus year’s right here in Manhattan. Educated and trained at The New York University School of Medicine, Dr. Bystryn returned to teach at his alma mater in 1970 and has been on staff at the department of dermatology ever since.

Dr. Bystryn’s areas of specialty include melanoma, pemphigus, vitiligo, alopecia areata and blistering diseases. He has published prolifically on a broad range of dermatological issues and is also a member of more than a dozen professional societies. Dr. Bystryn has been board certified by both the American Board of Dermatology and the American Board of Immunodermatopathology. He has been honored for his distinguished work with many prestigious awards, including the American Skin Association’s Vitiligo Research Award, the Husik Prize in Dermatology and the Irma T. Hirschl Career Scientist Award.
